February in Kathmandu 2017

Dr. Kaufman here in Kathmandu.  Weather is great, spring is definitely in the air.  BUT air quality in Kathmandu is not good at all.  Roads are being ripped up to install new water pipes all over the city and it’s the dry season, so dust is everywhere.  Many people are wearing masks – I think I need to get one.  Today I’m attending a planning meeting for an upcoming conference Asia for Animals to take place in Kathmandu in November.  Looking forward to seeing many old friends.
