Gifts of Securities/Wire Transfer Instructions
Gifts of highly appreciated stock is a tax-wise option for many VIEW supporters. Please consult your professional financial or tax advisor for guidance on making a gift of securities. Please contact VIEW at info@viewildlife.org for current securities or wire transfer instructions, sharing your plans so VIEW understands your giving intent, may identify your gift with its brokerage partner, and acknowledge your gift promptly.
Corporate Matching Gift Programs
Many companies match their employees’ charitable donations, enhancing the impact of their gifts. See if your employer has a matching gift program, through Double the Donation.
IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are 70½ (or older) with an IRA, you are required to draw a percentage of your IRA
each year (the Required Minimum Distribution, or RMD). Working with your IRA
administrator, this distribution may be directed as a charitable gift to VIEW, avoiding
taxation and qualifying toward your required RMD.
Planned Giving
Designating VIEW as a beneficiary of your estate plan (a bequest in your trust or will),life insurance policy, or a retirement account is an excellent way to leave a legacy of support for VIEW and the endangered wildlife it saves around the globe.
Sample bequest language:
“To the Veterinary Initiative for Endangered Wildlife (“VIEW”), a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization incorporated in the state of Montana, having its principal address at 1627 W. Main St., #445, Bozeman, MT, 59715 (EIN: 46-1233603), I/We, [name(s)], of [city, state, zip code] hereby give and bequeath [the sum of $______, or _____ percent, and/or residual _____ percent] of my estate to be used [for general support or a specific purpose].”
As you explore your philanthropic interests at VIEW, please consult your professional
financial, estate planning, legal, and/or tax advisor(s) to discuss the benefits of giving
specific types of assets to VIEW. Retirement accounts and life insurance policies
require updated beneficiary designation forms available from account providers. Please
consult VIEW with any questions as you navigate the philanthropic giving process and
finalize your plans, ensuring VIEW fully understands and honors your wishes, and can
acknowledge you accordingly.
